Originally built as Castle's Red Barn in 1952 by MGM actor Don Castle and his wife Zetta, it was one of the original resort getaways for Hollywood elite. Legend has it that iconic actress Elizabeth Montgomery had her first marriage at the Red Barn. The property also has had incarnations as Catalina Palms, El Rancho Lodge and now Sparrows Lodge. Great quality. Great rooms. Great pool. Really a place to take a breath.
One word… AMAZING! We had the pleasure of staying at Sparrows Lodge back in April for our Anniversary and couldn’t have picked a better place to spend our 24th. ❤️ Rooms - amazing Grounds - serene Food - the best Staff - incredible Every detail, and every square inch - is as peaceful and regenerative as it looks. We only stayed for a couple of days and wish it was a week. Can’t say enough good things about Sparrows - we will be back again and again. Thank you for making our stay memorable ❤️🙏🏼🤘🏼
Charmant boutique hôtel très intimiste. Les chambres bordant la piscine sont spacieuses et joliment décorées. Baignoire et douche ouvertes. Patio avec un hamac. Petit déjeuner simple sous forme de buffet. Ambiance feutrée et reposante. À 5 minutes de voiture du centre.
Outstanding is the best description for our stay at Sparrows Lodge. The location, the pool, the barn, our room - we loved it. We stayed for 2 nights in a garden room. It had a king bed, a walk-in-shower and a little patio in the back. With temperatures over 110 degrees we were especially thankful for the AC. One if the two nights we ate at the Barn - delicious! We loved the smores at the open fire afterwards(our first time!). And the breakfast had a great variety(fresh fruit, yoghurt, bagels). But the highlight was the pool.... read more
