Went to receive a blood draw for my sister and was turned away very rudely. "We only take appointments now!" And then added "I have only three minutes till I get out of here! " Then she laughed. What a horrible experience, while my sister waited in her wheelchair. Never again. U of M has a problem!!!
I've previously had great experiences here, but I recently arrived for a walk in 1hr before closing time and they were at capacity. So I guess arrive at least 2hr before close if you want to be guaranteed a spot as a walk in.
The waiting room is dead silent. Full of old people breathing hard. You can hear everything they say in the back. Zero privacy. I know what everyone before me has and what’s there for and their names. Which is unlike any other lab I’ve ever been to. If you don’t use the tablet everyone sick touches and check in online instead they will never call you. So you are left to sit in a quiet room of gross heavy breathing.
My X-ray technician was wonderful. She was friendly and super professional.
