If could give this hospital zero stars I would. Feb 11, 2026, my dad who works in Lansing was rushed to Sparrow by ambulance. He had a heart attack and sadly passed away shortly after arriving at the hospital. Whichever doctor worked on my dad and pronounced him dead called my mom to tell her. She was cold, offered zero sympathy and told my mom my dad was dead. Terrible ER experience, they did not review psych meds I am allergic to and nurse wanted to give me a opioid that could cause seizures.
Honestly, giving a 1 is to much. Sparrow was always my go to hospital, I was born there, my kids were born there. My daughter was in NICU for 2 months after she was born. I unfortunately had to go there last Thursday. The hospital is filthy for starters. Dirt and dust all over the floor and walls in every room we were taken to. The nurses were ALL very rude and no bed side manners. One nurse told us that if we weren't dying, we had to wait to see a nurse.
