I came to the ER with acute, procedure-related pain immediately after a discogram. When Dr. Shahid entered the room, he did not perform a physical exam or fully assess my symptoms before making assumptions about my condition. He offered a CT scan. I did not refuse it — I simply asked why it was needed, what he was looking for, and whether it was appropriate given the type of post-procedure pain I was having.
