My family was in a bind. After driving from Canada to Daytona, our booked stay at an alternative location fell apart both in quality, security and expectations. The team here at Spark were able to take us in and save the day. This night went from a complete disaster due to the staff here.
Service was unacceptable. We drove 12 hours with a large dog and young child. We arrived at 2am to be told our room had been given away because they overbooked 3 rooms. We had called multiple times to advise we would be getting in during the night. The girl at the front desk even went as far as threatening to call the authorities on us for asking questions and told us she wasn’t going to even help us find another place. The room had a great view. The beds were soft. We had utilized the fold out sofa and they didn't have extra pillows or a comforter. They should really keep a few extras on hand. The room had an interior window that made it difficult to sleep with the lights coming in. The continental breakfast is bagels, cereal, muffins, yogurt, and coffee. The parking lot is small, but they do have a small parking garage. The pool and area was very clean. For the price you pay, it's a great deal! I'd stay here again.
Ocean view balcony was nice but loud with close neighbors, construction going on, beds slept good, service was okay, had someone walk in on us, watch for double booking. Had to turn up TV to sleep, walls are thin.
Rooms were very nice, but front desk clerk on 3-11 shift was nice but very strange he did not have a name tag on so name is unsure. As the manager walked out the FD clerk said “oh he’s walking out hes walking out” and then continued to tell us that our parking fee had to be in cash or we could Zelle him which did not make sense. We initially booked a king but he tried saying we booked 2 queens and that we complained to get a king which we never did any complaining.
