Stayed at Spark by Hilton in Clarks Summit. The free breakfast was alright — simple options like hard-boiled eggs, oatmeal, bagels, and coffee. Big plus that the hotel is dog-friendly, which we really appreciated, though the immediate outside area isn’t very walkable for dogs. On the upside, there are local restaurants within walking distance, which was convenient. Overall a decent stopover.
Clean spacious room with comfortable bed. Pet friendly with poop bags and receptacle in back — seems some pet owners need to go to obedience training to learn to clean up after their pups! Staff friendly and breakfast fine — even had gluten free options. Can’t beat the price!
I came here for a weekend to visit family. Im from NEPA and moved out of state. I chose clarks summit, thinking the hotel would be nice and I was wrong. The price was very affordable but get what you pay for. This hotel was just build within last couple years and you'd swear its 20 years old. There's a sink hole in the parking lot- so not alot of parking. Staff was very nice. Room was okay. The floor barefoot felt nasty - i was scared I was going to get althetes foot. Just felt slimy. Wonderful place to stay. Staff was top notch.
This is a cheap Hilton hotel and if that is your main concern you will be satisfied. However I had a few issues. One the elevator was too small to easily fit a luggage trolley and a person at the same time. The “hot water” in the shower was lukewarm at best. The free breakfast was lacking in protein or hot foods. It’s worth noting that there is a Hampton right across the street if you want more expensive accommodations by Hilton.
