I brought a friend with me to Lubbock to visit my daughter. I told her we HAD to go to Spanky’s, especially to try the fried cheese. (My husband and I ate there back in the 80s and 90s when we were students at Tech.). I had to ask 4 different people why we had never received said cheese and we had finished our meals before it finally came—no apologies, no comped meal...NOTHING. Rude staff, sorry to inconvenience you but it's kind of your Job!! No burgers for kids meals which quite frankly is about the dumbest thing you are a burger place after all. Then when asking for an extra basket to spit up the burger and fries for our 2 kids so they could both have a plate to est there food out of she said NO!! um seriously she said they are all dirty , well maybe you should work on keeping things clean then and don't be such a snobby college brat about it,. Poor service, did not even go at a busy time. Had to repeat my order twice and burger still came out wrong. When server brought out our food, didn’t even ask if everything looked okay or if we needed anything, just ran away. Cheese sticks were delicious.
