Signed a contract in March 2021, with a very large deposit on a new 2 bedroom home, which we actually wanted the cottage model but told the permit was already pulled on that lot for the 2 or 3 bedroom model. As of Feb 2022 the sheetrock just got done, we were told it would be 12 mths, well I looked at the city permit paperwork and they didn't get a permit until Aug 2021, so they lied right off. If you speak Spanish you don't have to be 55 to live here they trim the trees and the men's yard but the woman's yard they leave the trees alone and if you don't trim yourself you just have a mess, blow of grass all over your vehicles fill your flower beds full of grass, they just trim the guys yard across the street again it's been 3 years I've still never touch the trees in my yard the golf courses for a very select few you're literally paying for a select group of people to have a pool and a sauna and a golf course and al... read more

The major problems me is they're not allowing you to use the services you're paying forI can use the golf course but I can't take a guest with meI can't play shuffleboard with one of my grandchildren because they're not 35 I can't play poolWith one of my grandchildren because I'm not 35If I'm in the pool and they can't see my ID badge they threatened to call the police on me to have me removedIt's a little Nazi camp for their few click members

Boy Oh Boy, misled and the biggest things with Spanish Lakes refuse, don’t want to return your deposit if you back out. On the property we almost bought it was listed online at one price they were selling it to me for $6,000 more. The square footage listed online was less then what was listed on papers in their sales office. The listing also stated home as new, but after my research I am still wonder if it was a resale. I was misled throughout the whole process of buying a home in 10/20. I was shown one price, then another and then a final numbe which was 16k over the initial price. A term I just learned BAIT AND SWITCH. I was then contacted by the financial lender and we discussed the numbers. The land lease was 459.00 and the interest rate was 7%. I told him friends had just bought and their interest rate was 2.75. He plugged in that rate and he said it would a struggle for me to pay this amount.
