Very Slow & Hair in Food – They took 45 minutes to seat us. Then, it took 10 more minutes for a waitress to take our drink order, then 10 minutes to come back and give us our soft drinks and take our lunch order. Thirty minutes later our lunch arrived. Two hours was too long for a lunch! My daughter's spaghetti had a hair in it! We never mentioned the hair because I didn't want to wait another hour for a manager. That happened 7 years ago on a week day and we never returned!
Poor Quality Food – Nice place and nice environment but the quality and taste of the food was very poor. When I went in, it was really crowded and it seems that waitresses could not handle the volume of customers so it took them forever to come back and refill our drinks.
Good Atmosphere, Food Not So Great – The atmosphere at The Old Spaghetti Factory is great, but the food is just ok. I have been there twice, and both times I was not impressed with my meal. You get what you pay for here.
Good service, good atmosphere, salty food – The service was good, the atmosphere was nice, but my food was very salty. The bread was just plain bread, the salad was okay (bad lettuce, but GREAT dressing, I had the creamy pesto), but my entree was very salty (I had the chicken marsala which came with spaghetti with mizithra cheese and browned butter). Better off going to olive garden – I have been there twice and both times was disappointed. Once I went during lunch and thought maybe it was just th ecook so tried it for dinner one night and ordered chicken parmesan and it was rubbery not good at all. I am an italian food lover and have had chicken parmesan at many different restaurants and I hate to say this was the worst.
You get what you pay for.... – I ate here this past Saturday. The atmosphere is great but the food is DISGUSTING! You would be much better off eating the pasta from a Ryan's/Shoney's buffet or making it yourself with ground beef, a jar of spaghetti sauce, and a box of pasta. Wonderful atmosphere but food could be much better – I took my husband here for Father's Day. He wanted to go to Macaroni Grill, but I suggested trying the Spaghetti Factory since we had never been there. The atmosphere was great but the food was about the same as one would expect to get at Fazoli's. I felt bad afterward. I know he didn't enjoy the meal as much as he would have enjoyed Macaroni Grill. Good food, pleasant experience – Ate here with friends on a Friday night and really enjoyed the experience. It wasn't too crowded, surprisingly, so we were seated immediately in a large, charmingly decorated room. Our server was not the greatest but he got the job done.
