Dunkirk nails and day spa is the best salon I have been to in calvert county. It is extremely clean. And to top that, I have the best nail technician on the planet, Rosa. Rosa takes pride in her work and is exceptionally good at what she does. . . However, respect is universal and I've never felt anything less from anyone at the salon. PAIN AND INFECTION AND RUDENESS. Just an awful experience at an overpriced, shoddy nail salon. I paid $80 for a guy to rip into my cuticles and actually CUT my finger in the process and then BLAME me! He cut off my very long natural nails without asking and filed them with no shape, again without asking. When I attempted to speak up, the guy CHASTISED me! If there was a rating less than 1 star I would give it. Went once for a pedicure asked the price for a basic one, while in the chair the asked me again - I said basic pedicure. I go to pay and they charged me for a deluxe, which isn't what I asked for. When I told them that I was told too bad that is what I was given and I had to pay for it. This is a bad business practise and I have and will continue to tell everyone I know in the county to NOT go there. This should be illegal!!!

The place is awful. Waited at least 20 minutes to have the work done. They didn't complete it. Left me sitting another 20 minutes. Couldn't wait forever, so offered to pay half, since they didn't finish the job, and they demanded full payment, despite not completing the job. Awful. Simply awful. Don't waste you time or money with this place...anywhere would be better.
I just had a deluxe pedicure done at the Salon, and I am really happy with the results! Jimmy at the Salon worked that miracle with a French pedicure - he understood exactly what I wanted, and within an hour had given me exactly that. His work is very good, efficient, and meticulous. I can only say the best about him and the salon in general - it's clean and modern, and scheduling and service are friendly and efficient. Very happy!
