Had a car break down just after passing Wangaratta on a long weekend. It was an absolutely flat out weekend of break downs for Ben and his team, but they managed to find a spare moment to get my car safely towed to their workshop and Ben didn't stop for the day until he made sure that I had everything that I needed in order to get me back on track with my travels. We broke down between Glenrowan and Wangaratta. Sam attended the scene. He quickly ran diagnostics, got us to a safer place and then escorted us into Wangaratta. He quickly sourced spare parts and repaired the vehicle at a reasonable cost. He made sure that I knew what was happening and why at every stage.
When our car broke down in the middle of nowhere (between Wangaratta and Wodonga) in 37 degree heat with two children, a 12 week old puppy and a boot full of luggage, Sam from SP Automotive was a godsend!! As an RACV local representative, he went above and beyond to help us. His responsibility was simply to tow the car into Wangaratta and then to its final destination at a later date. We broke down on the Hume Hwy. Sam picked up our car and van within 20 minutes. Dropped us and the van at the caravan pk, then took the car to the workshop. He phoned later, saying he'd work on the car that night instead of waiting a couple of days. The car was ready to go by 10am the next morning. Outstanding response and commitment.
