Terrible experience no one picks up the phone line or answers emails. Some of the realtors here are dishonest and money hungry on (2) separate occasions I was presented with properties that came with a $3000 realtor fee from both Christian & Steve, I initially reached out about a rent stabilized unit, Steve lied and told me it was for section 8 and not available. Christian, mentioned that there were already a bunch of applications. They lost my business. My emails went unanswered.

I was informed by a gentleman named “Steve” to attend an open house today, that began at 1:30 PM, with “Cheyenne”. I arrived at the unit shortly BEFORE 2:30PM, only to find another prospective renter already waiting outside. He mentioned he’d been waiting for quite some time and hadn’t been able to reach anyone either. Working with Sovereign Associates, particularly Ezamina (who showed me my new apartment (incredibly communicative and kind) and Greg, owner of Sovereign - was an incredibly professional and personal experience. A lot of brokers and real estate agencies that I've worked with in the past treated me as just another possible tenant in a sea of other possible tenants. While, I can’t say I had an unpleasant experience. I don’t think there was some subtle discrimination with one of the agents whose name I will omit and the other agent the experience was decent. For the one who showed me a place in Riverdale, after submitting all of my documents and paying a fee, he inquired “ is it just you?” I said yes, and then he proceed to say “ I was wondering about that because we sent the application to someone else.
