Honestly the VA is terrible. It’s taken them forever just to get me in for my teeth cleaning. They keep telling me I am not service connected when I have the literal letter they sent me. I bring it in to three different appointments and the exact answer they tell me is “sorry even though you have the paper we just can’t treat you cause the system says you are not service connected.” Terrible system. Update: I am devastated that Dr. Lake is no longer here. She had been the best primary care provider I had ever had, privately or otherwise. The new provider they assigned to me in Texas (telehealth) is by far the worst I have ever known. I brought several issues and concerns about my health to them, which were all dismissed. I was told I am too young to have these struggles, and I should be in perfect health. Right - because you get a 100% P&T status for being perfectly fine?! This clinic is awesome. The check-in staff are super friendly and helpful as are the laboratory staff. I love my PCP care team. NP Keo is the best!! I have always received amazing care at this clinic and the VA overall.
