The best vibe on a Sunday morning! The owner greets you at the door and chats with you at the table. Loved the bus � outside to warm up in with coffee while you wait.

A local friend introduced me to this place when I was visiting from WI last year. This year, down again, and I had to drag the BF there to check it out. Food is fantastic. They're not afraid of spice and flavor! We stuffed ourselves for the five hour drive home. The very loud room on a weekend can be a bit annoying and the wait was over an hour. This was my third visit to Southwest Diner and the food was so-so. I got the grande egg platter with eggs over easy and guacamole instead of meat. The breakfast potatoes were bland and not much could be done about it. The pancakes were dry but good. My eggs were perfect and the guac was full of cilantro, just how I like it. The service needs some improvement, however. We were told three times that our server would be right over, and he was in no hurry to bring out the coffee I ordered.
