Just graduated, and a little sad to be saying goodbye to Southside. My friends and I loved living there. Going to miss all the great friends i have made. If you are looking for a nice place to live where you can walk to campus this is it. They rent by the semester and the apartments have furniture. So if you aren't staying for the summer you don't have to pay for it. But you can reserve your apartment for the next semeseter. That makes it a really good deal. (y) – I haven't had any problems with my experience in Southside Apartments. All of you complaining about the heat and hot water, I have not had a problem since I've been here, no roaches. Also, if you told rob about problems such as roaches he would do something to get it fixed. He is outside doing work on the buildings every day of the week, when it snows he's out there shoveling everything. If you talk to him, he will help out with any problems you're having. This place is a scam – The management are liars just to get people to rent.They told me they would fix the broken stuff in my apartment. They haven't been here yet They put me in a disgusting run down apartment right next to partiers.The homeboys below me play rap music with loud base at all hours and have parties all the time.Management will not do anything.I have called the police several times and they are useless.There is very limited parking also and hot water, so beware. Don't live here unless your scum – Southside Getto didn't have enough parking.There were loud parties any night of the weekThe smell of weed and other illegal substances filled the hallways.Most restidents looked like they needed a bath. The heat hardly ever worked and hot water ran out quickly.There are old run down and dirty.Nothing worked or got fixed.It was expensive for what you got there.I wouldn't recommend living there unless you've got nowhere else to live.

hole in the wall? – Southside is conveniently located within a 10 to 15 minute walk of campus. Some appointments are relatively nice, it depends on the building you get put in. On the other hand my apartment is a complete hole in the wall. I have roaches, a lot of them and for whatever reason i have the most in my entire building. I have relentlessly cleaned since the beginning of the semester but once you have them they're impossible to get rid of. Worst place to live in because of very bad management. At first the people are very nice..and set up a room for you. When I arrived the room wasn't cleaned and was dirty. I had to call them again to clean it. They did a very bad job of cleaning my room and then left. The paint was peeling off and the room was in a bad condition. The manager Rob and his family are racial towards the indian people living in the complex. It not a good enviorment at all.
