The bisque and baked clams were good. Stuffed fish was ok. Place has definitely increased ALOT in price. Even beers went from up 2$. Not sure I'd return for a full meal. For the price increase there are better places. I have been going here for years !

Ordered fish and chips and when I got home the fish was so dried out and tough I couldn't eat it. Southside has gone downhill for years now but I remember when the food and service there was the best on L.I. Sorry but we won't be going back there.

2 * I took was recently disappointed. There lunch specials used to be great. Not anymore, higher prices and half the portion.. the soup is barely a cup worth. Wouldn't go out of my way to go back. Service? Terrable. I was the only person on line as four workers/cashiers were doing nothing behind the counter. Had to ask 2x if someone could help me.

I've had the twin lobster dinner here before and was satisfied..This time the wife and I ordered the broiled seafood platter and lobster bisque as a starter..the bisque was devoid of any lobster...The platters were dreadfully small with limp (soft), bland scallops, ONE overcooked breaded shrimp, a small filet and a tin shell baked clam. My sides were maybe 15 fries and a previously frozen, soggy half ear of corn. All this for $65...Highway robbery!!

We ordered the twin 1 1/4 lb lobsters steamed....delicious. The place was very busy. Apparently some orders take longer than others, but we were lucky with the steamed, which was pretty fast. I realize some complain about the wait, it's not a fancy restaurant, but the food is fresh and good. I would imagine if you're going with a big group, you'll have to expect that your dishes will come through at different times, I suppose you should ask beforehand.
