‼️NO STARS!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!! THEY LITERALLY ADDED ON $360 WORTH OF CHARGES TO A FREE EYEGLASS PLAN THAT I HAVE! THEY ADDED ON EXTRAS THAT I NEVER ASKED FOR! I PICKED OUT THE FREE FRAMES THAT MY PLAN COVERS THEN THEY ADDED ON $360 WORTH OF UP CHARGES ON TOP OF COLLECTING $150+ FROM MY INSURANCE COMPANY. THEY INSISTED THAT I NEEDED THESE EXTRAS WHICH WAS FALSE! ON TOP OF THAT THE PRESCRIPTION WASN'T EVEN CORRECT! I WAS NOT ABLE TO SEE CLEAR WITH THE NEW GLASSES AT ALL! Had terrible experience I paid my bill for exam and new pair of glasses. They got back $120.00 from my insurance company and months later if I didn’t ask for my money they never would’ve forwarded to me. They gave me a new brand of contacts which were more money and my prescription didn’t change just so I would have a higher bill.when they gave me back the insurance money they only gave me back $110.50 instead of the $120 they got from my insurance. I would not recommend them what a rip off.
South Side Family Vision has been an amazing experience for me! I went in for a consultation due to some eye issues, and they were incredibly thorough. They tested my eyes and provided glasses that have really helped with my nearsightedness when reading and using screens. The doctor took the time to explain everything in detail, which I really appreciated. All the staff were helpful in guiding me to choose the right glasses for my needs. Just left and had an awful experience picking out frames. I was unknowingly looking at a more expensive pair, but wanted to compare to frames I saw online that were more in my budget, when I asked them for a moment for me to check the price of the frames I saw online at warby Parker were a bit cheaper, the woman behind the desk (who wasn’t even helping me) laughed in my face and said “well this isn’t warby parker” - I felt extremely embarrassed and belittled and they’re lucky I even bought frames there after.
