We were impressed with this company until we realized they used an inferior method of installing a French drain around our house. They failed to line the trench with filter fabric. The fabric prevents soil and roots from mingling with the gravel and eventually clogging the drain. We can expect our new system to fail much sooner as a result. The moral? Do some research ahead of time so you have a good understanding of best practices, and then make sure they're followed.
I recently hired SouthSide Excavating for a yard-leveling project, and I couldn’t be more impressed! From start to finish, their team was professional, efficient, and detail-oriented. They removed stubborn tree remnants and transformed my uneven lot into a perfectly graded space—exactly as promised. Will hire again!
