Great environment. Everyone was positive and welcoming. As a beginner the people were very willing to teach and assist. What stood out was how everyone was looking out for each other’s safety and nobody was trying to hurt anyone intentionally
I had the pleasure of doing a drop-in for a 06:00 AM class at Southside BJJ while on vacation in Minneapolis and it was an absolute blast! Coach Enrique Muniz welcomed me with open arms and Coach Enrique has such a high level technical mastery of BJJ that he was able to seamlessly share during the class. My 12-year-old daughter has been attending jiu jitsu classes here for over 6 months, and we love it. The instructors are great, the owner is easy to reach with questions, and the monthly membership is reasonable (and allows for unlimited attendance). This is the first sport my daughter has truly enjoyed and looked forward to. She has one stripe on her belt, and I’m hoping she can participate in a tournament soon.
