SSBB checks just about every box you can ask out of a local gym. They have multiples of every type of equipment that you can need, whether you are a hardcore powerlifter, crossfitter, day 1 beginner, or anything in between. Every one of the staff is super friendly. It is inviting like the purple gym everyone knows, while simultaneously having grit like Westside Barbell. As long as I am local to Lakeland, there is no other gym I'd ever go to.

I’m a single mom so I needed a gym that could work with my always changing schedule. I like that they’re open 24/7 but the staff and the community are so welcoming. I’m new to the gym and tried some of the bigger name brand gyms and didn’t feel nearly as comfortable as I do at Southside Barbell.

I switched from PF around 3 weeks ago and I DO NOT regret my decision. Southside barbell is never packed, always clean, and everyone I’ve spoken to is super kind. I outgrew PF and was ready to make the next step in my fitness journey, if you are looking to do the same I 100% recommend southside barbell.

The friendliness and professionalism the staff is unparalleled. I love the setup of the gym, it does not feel overcrowded and has everything you need. Best kept gym secret

I have been a part of different gyms for 26 years and this is by far my favorite! I could not ask for a wider variety of quality equipment and love the 24 hour accessibility! Everything is always clean and working well. We are so glad we found Southside Barbell!
