Our fur babies have been staying at Southport kennels for vacation for the past several years.... the staff provides excellent care, attention and companionship to the animals in their care. Any day of the year I have walked in that facility and been invited to go through the entire facility unannounced and I can attest that all the fur babies great and small are very well cared for!!!
We had a last minute Thanksgiving plans change due to a funeral and Southport kennels was able to squeeze us in. On first impression the place smelled and looked clean, considering it was the day before Thanksgiving and they were slammed this was VERY good. Our dogs happily walked to the back. On pick up the dogs were happy to see us and acted happy and content, they weren't rushing to get out and leave. These people are great. I would recommend them to anyone. They really love and care about the pets that are brought to them. Charlie never had any complaints when we was there.

We left our dog for the first time while we went on vacation. I visited first and immediately felt comfortable with all the people there. They were so welcoming and answered all my questions. The facilities are nice and clean. When dropping our dog off, they answered all my 7 year old’s questions and gave him a tour. When we picked our dog up, she had just finished play time, so she was worn out, but very obviously very well taken care of! We are so happy with our experience!!
I love this place! Comet is 14 years old and has bad hips. He gets such awesome, loving care from the entire staff. I feel they go above and beyond what they do for him. Comet is happy and I have no worries about anything when I drop him off. And, they are affordable too! I recommend them to anyone!
Love it here and of Course Zeus loves it as well. He is treated with Love and that’s what matters. They treat Pets Good! Thank you!
