These folks do seem to know.dog training. Unfortunately I did not make it past the \$75 assessment. The trainer literally spent two minutrs assessing my dog, and another 50 minutes chatting about dogs and the packages they offer. Nice guy, but for \$75 I could have dropped a clipboard and an umbrella in front of the dog, and in fact I did that before I adopted him. So I have to wonder just how much value you get for your money. Can t say either way, but a 2 minute assessment is enough to deter.me from the rest of the program... read more

I would so like to thank Cheryl for helping me to find a way for me to physically work with my huge Doberman, Glacier, from my electric wheelchair. By tethering him to the chair and allowing hands free use of an e-collar, Glacier is now heeling and following all my commands with no use of the e-collar. It s FANTASTIC!! After reading a couple of the negative reviews on here, I don t believe the people leaving them were even customers. Sounds more like hateful competitors. My experience with Southland was wonderful. I am a Cesar Milan fan (having read his books and not just watched his TV show) and found most of Southlands philosophy was right in line with his (or maybe it s the other way around). Southland Dog Training is phenomenal. I can tell you about a bad training experience but it NOT Southland. They have been accommodating, flexible, professional and most importantly, my English Mastiff is now a true joy to be around. Their methods are firm, but not harsh or abusive in any respect. The problem is usually the owner (as it was with me) Southland has even helped coach me. As far as I m concerned, Southland, you are my HERO. I wont trust a trainer whos own dogs are fearful, not socialized, and never given any exercise. Ill stick to Cesar Milans way!*Exercise, discipline, affection!*

These people didnt know anything!! IGNORANT!!! No one was educated, I think they all took a 6 week on line dog training course!!! I found someone Better!!!!
