We initially moved in thinking this would be a good place to live, but our experience quickly turned disappointing. Shortly after moving in, we discovered a German roach infestation which is insanely hard to get rid of. Management initially tried to blame a neighbor, but it became clear the problem existed before we moved in. Thank the good Lord above for the new maintenance man. I have lived here for 3 years and this is the first time I truly feel things are getting done and things get fixed. Jeff is a keeper. This man is very respectable and he's real about things. If he can't get it he will make sure he calls whoever he needs to call to get the job done and not just bandaid it. I have lived in many different apartment complexes and Southgate by far has been the best experience! I am coming up on 2 years and signed on for a third. The property is always kept clean, especially the pool. Maintenance (Jeff) is always so professional! He takes pride in his work, and is always going above and beyond. Anytime he’s responding to a work order he always makes sure to ask “anything else?” Before leaving. The office manager is also very polite and helpful! Worst rental living experience I’ve ever had. It’s basically like living in an expensive run down prison. Their rules are impossible to live by, they always find something to complain about with residents. If you have a maintenance request don’t expect to get it fixed in a timely manner. It will be weeks to months before they resolve maintenance issues.
