What a wonderful hidden gem in Pullman! We haven’t been to Pullman in years and are so happy we found this place! Bridget was so energetic and kind. Natalie, our server was awesome as well. Food was delicious! We will be back.
As the author of The Grant Colson Thriller Series and Maui Desire Romance Series novels, I enjoy finding strong local spots, and South Fork Public House is a great one in Pullman. I stopped in for lunch on a rainy weekday, and the place was packed. I grabbed a seat at the bar, which worked out well. As someone with a gluten allergy I really appreciate the labeled menu and options that I am provided. I really like the street tacos with steak and have heard the burgers are good. Unfortunately what draws down my rating is the scorpion tails.. on the menu they have a gluten free label and some staff will say they are. It is a bar that serves food. Good, food, not great. Ordered the bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers. Bacon was crispy, but the jalapeños were very raw and crunchy. Didnt care for that. Flavor was good though. We also ordered the fish and Chips. Fish was crispy and good tasting. It was just the thinnest piece of fish I've eaten in a while. The shoe string fries were flavored well.
The salmon was over cooked and dry in spots other parts were good, the only thing that saved the dish was the veggies and rice. The service was great though. But salmon was absolutely not worth $25
