I felt my baby was in good hands with Dr. Chaulky I first took my cat to Dr.Chaulky about two years ago. Yes, I thought the veterinary care was a little pricey, but I figured my cat was worth it. I had just lost my other cat a few months before due to my own negligence, so I wanted the best for the new kitty. I found Dr. Chaulky to be kind and knowledgeable. Vet Hospital The Veterinarian was OK but was HORRIBLE to her staff in front of all of her clients. She also will not in any circumstances give you a prescription to get mail order medication so you can get it from her only. She likes to keep you coming back for as much as possible too.
EXPENSIVE!! I have to agree with Dr. Chalkley's previous clients. She is very expensive and does always seem to have you coming back for various things. She charged over double what a vet did in downtown for a routine procedure. I also had another procedure recently done on my dog which cost over 300$. I really wish she was more fair in her pricing, but I suppose I will be forced to use the doctor in Plano.
we will not go back! the first visit took 2 1/2 hours for a routine physical with shots. because of my dogs age, they spent a little more time with us, but not much. there were very long periods of time that we sat in the room alone with our dog. dr chaulkey's explanations were very vague and difficult to follow. she felt xrays were necessary to rule out cancer but then told us after the fact that we needed to pay more to send them to a radiologist to read??? we declined to send them off when she said she didn't see any evid... read more
expensive and uncess. procedures Took my dog there, took FOREVER to drop her off. Had two small kids with me and they just took their sweet, sweet time. Also, recommended way too many unecces. procedures. I have a friend who is a vet and she confirmed this. Also, rx way too many meds for extended time period. Also confirmed this with my friend. (Who lives too far away to be my vet). Anyway, paid my outrageous bill and will never go back.
