I was so happy with the care my Dad received from Southern Care. You make a difference in these peoples lives. I can't thank you all enough. Pastor Tim did my Dad's Celebration of Life service. You could tell he had spent time with him and had taken the time to get to know him. Denise for your patience as a caregiver and for understanding that he needed extra time to do everything. From top to bottom Southern Care hospice were a bunch of liars. We were assured that my father would receive IV morphine but all they gave was the liquid stuff that accumulated in the back of his throat causing gurgling sounding breathing. At my fathers deathbed I was given a religious sermon by a nurse named Amber. Is this the hospice Care you would want for your dear loved one? The only good thing they provided was the chaplain Tim. He was great.
I was zero stars was an option. Absolutely did a disservice for my grandfather in their manner of handeling all aspects of their services or lack there of. Do not select this facility.
This is a FOR PROFIT agency!! Look for a NON PROFIT agency if you want the best care for your family member! We had to purchase our own supplies and fight and demand tests that needed to be done such as for UTI or CDiff etc...as they did not want to spend any of the $4 to $5,000.00 Moms medicare was paying them per month!!! Sub par nursing care contributed to her swift demise!!
