I was very disappointed with my daughter's 18th birthday cake that this bakery had made this past Saturday. The size and the taste was horrific. I wish I had choose Krogers or Wallmart. My family and friends couldnt eat the cake because it had tasted really bad. I felt robbed and my daughter was very unhappy. There is one thing to tell the truth.....it shall set u free but to compromise.......there is no room for improvement. I wil not recommemd anyone to her bakery. Very hurt and disappointed. Judi is a creative professional and Southern Sweets Cafe has very competitive prices. She will not disappoint. She has made cakes for my promotion, wedding, and my wife’s birthday and we are planning to have her create another birthday cake as well as another one for our baby shower.

I love this downtown Hinesville business! They have some of the best brownies I've ever tasted, and their cupcakes are delicious, too. I hadn't heard of Southern Sweets until my friends got my baby shower cake from them about 3.5 years ago, and I'm so glad they did! I've been a big fan ever since. Reasonable prices, and the owner, Judy, is so nice and personable. Check them out!
I purchased what was supposed to be a (small) 9" red velvet cake for my daughters birthday, 12 Sep. The cake received tasted like a yellow cake mix with red dye. When we cut the cake, it was extremely hard on the top of the cake, it was apparently cooked too long. The cake was wayyyy overpriced, $47.50 for a 9" cake. I thought well, she is a small locally owned business and I would support her. BUT, I will NOT be supporting this business any longer. VERY, VERY disappointed!

I am very sorry you were not happy, things do get crazy in here when we are cranking out cakes for the weekend and we can't taste a finished cake:) The price was standard with an additional $5 for decorating and the handmade flowers. I just wish you had called and given us the opportunity to make things right:(
