The staff are very friendly and helpful. The Dr I seen was not my primary but still took his time to listen to my concerns and to set up a plan for getting my health on track
I went there for a wellness visit which is covered by my insurance once a year. They filed it as a regular visit and sent me a $109 bill. I called about it and the lady said that since I told the Dr. (he asked if I had any issues) that I've had chronic neck discomfort for a few years, that it was then no longer considered a wellness visit. I've never been at a wellness visit where I couldn't talk about anything. I told him it wasn't bothering me too much lately, that it seems to be improving and he did not treat me for it. Our experience with Southern Regional AHEC has been positive. The staff are kind, patient, and overall pleasant. The doctors have been nothing, but attentive, caring, and supportive of my family's needs and concerns. I really appreciate that a lot of the medical procedures and services are available within the hospital. I also like that we can access what we need and communicate with our medical team online. Overall, I like and am satisfied with SRAHEC.
will never go back here. i’ve seen two doctors at this location and both had their own problems. the first doctor, Dr. James Lester, straight up dismissed me when telling him about my clubbing nails when at an appointment specifically about my asthma. for those who don’t know, clubbing nails CAN BE caused by low oxygen. we had talked about my symptoms and history and I had added that symptom while he was typing his notes. he proceeded to say to me “that will have to be a problem for next time. i’m too busy.” really felt like... read more
