The nurse practitioner Sheila black , if I could rate my experiences here with her I give it a 0/10 & wouldn’t recommend. No disrespect. Everyone else here is great
A few weeks ago, I went to see Dr. Shakur. I know this is a training place for doctors. I have to say, this so called doctor had the nerve to to prescribed a med for me that I could not take. He proceeded to bring his supervisor in to tell me. I could take this medicine. I told him no I couldn't in the meanwhile my blood pressure Rose to 160 over 70. I am a diabetic person that is being seen at ahec They write me a prescription to get my insulin but when I go to the pharmacy apparently I'm not able to get my insulin from the pharmacy that I go from
Ms. Erica and Ms. Tanya are angels! I was so anxious to be coming back to Southern Regional AHEC since previous staff that used to help me had either retired or left the area, but Ms. Erica made me feel so relaxed and comfortable and understood my hesitation. Her and Ms. Tanya helped me so much within 30 minutes of me being there and I cannot thank both of them enough for all their help! Thank you so much! Ms. Erica and Ms. Tanya really exemplify the dedication and sympathy that people who assist the public should have.
Very confused about the copay policy. I was seen on August 26th about an issue and paid a copay of 25 dollars. I was set a followup appointment for August 28th, another 25 dollars and was seen for 2 minutes and told looks good more medicine required. We will see you on September 3rd. I'm sure they will ask for a copay again. This seems like a racket. I should pay copay for the same issue over and over again. The medical staff are excellent.
