I understand they are doing an exhibit based on the Birmingham Train Terminal from back in the day. I have a Carl Salter print from back in the day. It was a beautiful structure!
It’s cute. A railway car is parked there with stairs built on each end for photo ops. Cool historical marker. Did not realize that John Henry helped dig the tunnel made famous in a blues song nearby(Dunnovant or Big Oak tunnels). The depot is from the late 1800’s and there’s a well beside it with a sign that reads no dogs are allowed. Mmmkay. Didn’t see that until after our visit tho. 🤫
Beautiful in its obsolescence Over a century old. We'll maintained.
