Got a call from my little Brother, James Morley, on 15 May, that he was going to SORCC to get help since he was homeless and still in need of treatment. Instead of offering him a bed, he was given a flyer to a homeless shelter and told to attend anger management classes? That MAYBE you'd have room for him in 8 WEEKS? Thank you for taking such great care of Veterans <<That is sarcasm, by the way>>
It took two weeks to get a phone call in return, after waiting 5 1/2 months and still no appointment scheduled, they finally called, but I was with a customer, so I called back not even 5 minutes later, it's now been 8 days since then and no returned phone call.
just got to say overall it's a very good place for veterans to get back on track / it helps veterans mentally -physically - emotionally and financially get back on are feet and the staff cares and helps us do that
Understanding that YOU have to take responsibility FIRST for your health care....and I do. I can say my expectations are always met here at the VA. With the exception of one rude and dower individual, everyone I have dealt with has been above expectations; friendly, positive, and most helpful. Things up the COC may be a mess, but as usual, the folks on the ground are to be commended. I'm sure there could be lots of areas to improve on and why I give 4 instead of 5 stars. My experience here as a patient: all my needs have been met & the professional care I received has been with the utmost care with dignity & professionalism. Thanks to all who treated me like they would wanted to be treated too.
