Today I had an upper Endoscopy. I had a very bad experience 9 yrs ago at a different hospital. So bad I was literally terrified of any type of medical procedure. I have too say full heartily Thank You all so much at SOMC!! from the front desk too the nurses that took care of me! too my anesthesia team too the best GI Dr ever Dr Houghton. I cannot believe how kind everyone treated me! I was beyond taking care of. If anyone needs a GI Dr or anything health wise i'd strongly suggest somc! They rock hardcore and very good things... read more

Was treated for a head wound. (In fairness, the treatment was excellent). The staff forgot to give me a tetanus shot on my original visit. I was called the next day and told I needed the shot but was told I'd be charged for another visit to receive the shot. I was recently charged almost $500 for a visit here for a sinus infection because it was billed as an emergency visit. There was no chance I was going back to receive a shot I should have gotten the day before only to be charged $500 for another visit.
Took my daughter to the ER over her mouth. where she had went to the dentist or should I say BUTCHER!!! and the ER doctor looked at her like she was crazy and told her she would be fine. her mouth is swollen real bad. black and blue and infected severely and the ER doctor sent her home. That is about the sorriest hospital around. I don't think I would even take my dog there. I don't think I would even take my dog there. Very poor service !!!!
