The hospital is nice, clean, staff friendly.however my step mother has been there 14 days and is not doing great after surgery. We are concerned the Easter holiday kept low staff and she wasn't given enough care .
My Brother had a colonoscopy done there yesterday his name is Tom King😡Went to er and was blessed profusely from his rectum. Dr called by er Doc no answer dismissed him, sent him to dialysis even though he begged them to admit him😡Could not stay he had lost so much blood!!! They sent him home told him to call the drs office, nurse assured him the Dr would call him right back😡No response yet!!!) The Er should have kept him they said there was nothing they could do!$$! For it being a weekend they called in two surgeons on a Saturday an preformed surgery on my wife..an we get to go home today. Im very thankful for all involved. ..gb
They took wonderful care of my mom. We had some great nurses.

I had Dr Roberts who did a total hysterectomy on me and was admitted for a one day and one night stay. My recovery nurse was awesome but my day nurse on the second floor Jordyn was amazing. She was always there checking to see if I needed anything and IF she couldn't come at the second I turned on the light then her amazing fiance Brock was there. Had best experience at SOMC after having 4th kidney surgery in a year.. Everyone very nice and explained everything to me and even my boyfriend si he would know what to do while waiting in me..
The same day surgery and Dr. Darren Adams was awesome. But there needs to be a different procedure for testing. It should not take a person 2 hours to get testing done. Instead of spending money to get a finger print so your info comes up easier spend the money to get more equipment to get it done faster. And all EKG'S and heart testing should be done as quickly as possible to delay in surgery process. People make arrangements to have surgery done and then to find out they have to be cleared 2 days before is wrong.
