The Gem and Mineral Society volunteers run a workshop for the community and memberhip Once there, you are able to get certified on the equipment available and then pay by the hour to use this equipment. There is also a small library of resources to learn about gem trails and club field trips as well as mineral identification.
We love this place. They have a great Kids Club once a month where they teach kids about types of rocks, how they firm, different uses and where they're found. A great program for kids.

Welcoming, dynamic, engaging group of long time professional and amateur geologists, rock hounds, collectors, gem experts, so much more. Guided trips, meetings, swaps. Friendships. Workshop to do metalsmithing and tock cutting jewelry making... Great for kids through seniors.
