Southern Maryland Equine Veterinary Service is the best. The staff and doctors can't be any better or more knowledgeable. They are prompt in making barn calls and like lightening for an emergency, even though we live quite a distance from their office. When we had to put down our aged mare, Dr. Kennedy was so kind and supportive. It was a blessing to our dear girl and to us. The entire staff was just as sweet and sympathetic as they could be. I can't say enough good things about them.

Shari Kennedy and her team have been great with my horses and me. They have taken care of my horses for years. Everyone with horses knows things are going to happen, SMEVS has been there for us each time.

No one touches my horses but Southern MD Equine. Shari Kennedy and Nancy Reems are standouts in their field.
Did this provider ever take personal phone calls while in the appointment room with you? He/she would never do that! Their full attention is always on me. Are you going to visit this provider again? Without a doubt!
I was completely at ease during their farm visit. They went to great lengths to make sure I was completely relaxed and comfortable the entire time. They were so easy to reach in an emergency, they answered my call immediately.They went out of their way to make me feel respected, and were very sympathetic to my situation. I've never seen more kindness and empathy anywhere else. Very knowledgeable and generous with their time. My horses trust them and respond very well to them.
