They are incredibly rude and haughty on the phone and their website isn’t seemless their prompts on the phone don’t understand you and cut off after trying this is truly a bad energy company if they didn’t have a monopoly on the market they would be in trouble and they overcharge
Their trucks really need to stop tailgating people. Over 60 in a 50 is excessive, and riding someone's ass is inexcusable.
The service itself is ok (I mean, it's not rocket science), the techs that resolve outages - no complaints there (most times an outage is likely due to a storm or other issue out of their control). But their customer service representatives...leave MUCH to be desired. It's interesting how they can be so condescending, rude and outright unprofessional towards customers who are asking questions to understand and be informed. Fantastic work! Called SMECO out to handle a branch that was growing within inches of dropping on my houses powerline. They came out, took out several branches, smooth cuts, even removed the branches for me. Thanks!
