Pretty Shop This is a pretty shop but the merchandise is a bit pricey, similar items can be found at area flea markets at a much more reasonable cost. There are some unique creations by area artisans.
Never know what you might find The Southern Market is exactly that - a market. There are booths (very nice booths) set up so that an individual can sell specialty items they may make or get at market but not "run a store". Booths I have seen include: baby and children items, kitchen and bar, invitations, jewelry, accessories for the home, silk plants, oil portraits, packaged gift food items and MORE! I try and go here every year to find unique Christmas gifts for those hard to find people on your list.
Pretty good Market for Knoxville! Love to browse this market but many of the prices are too high! Lots of local vendors with beautiful pieces but the staff isn't too knowledgable about what they are selling.
Seasons Garden located within the shop of Southern Market This garden shop is my favorite of all the shops at Southern Market. I can always find unique garden ornamentation and accessories for my garden. The prices in the garden shop are very reasonable and they have wonderful items for all budgets.
For some reason my review earlier showed a two star review but I clicked on five stars.. Not sure what happened Would you please change it to the FIVE STARS ..it will not let me edit my review! I love the shops of Southern Market.
If you hate shopping malls like me, then the Southern Market is the place to shop in Knoxville. Locally owned and managed, this shop has 40 small shops all located within one building. I go there for all my gifts and love shopping there during the holidays because I can always find unique gifts and accessories. Check out the initial shop, sorority and the neat courtyard garden shop. You will not be disappointed in the cute shops there. If you support shopping small...this is your place!!
I have always enjoyed shopping at Southern Market and have been a loyal customer for many years. I have recently noticed that the quality of dealers they have been able to attract has declined with the sagging economy. What’s with the used clothing store and with the number of merchants leaving? I alos heard from a friend that Southern Market is making dramatic changes in their overhead charges in 2010 and are losing many of their best merchants. This cute garden shop is my favorite shop within the 40 shops of Southern Market. I can ALWAYS find unique garden decor, accessories and gifts within my budget. I also love their Vintage Knoxville coasters that I've bought many times for holiday gifts
I can always find wonderful gifts for friends and family.
