I am so thankful to SMV, Dr Sholl and the entire staff my Rhodesian Ridgeback, Rask has had some complications post lipoma removal- older dog- Dr. Sholl def saw me at my worst but him and the staff were amazing thank you for your compassion and understanding during our recovery phase. Recommend %

Gave a great review on Yelp...but it was taken down (for whatever reason) but I do recommend Here was Maddy's (my beagle lab mix) review. Like many of you I am not pawfect, I have my own anxiety and worries. So when my paw-paw scheduled me a peticure and my yearly veterinary visit with "Southern Maine Veterinary Care" I was concerned as to who these hoo-mans would be. We have used SMVC for all of our pets for many years and have recieved nothing but great care and compassion from the nstaff at SMVC.
Great place! The vet explains things in a way we can understand. He is very thorough in his exams and I can tell he truly cares and has compassion for what he does. He has went above and beyond multiple times for me and my husbands dog to call and see how they are doing after bringing them in for an injury and to call me back after an appointment to go over information further with me. The techs are great as well who have always handled my dog very kindly and are knowledgeable in what they do.
We received this sweet note after the loss of our older border collie boy, Ben. Their hand written words helped me to process the grief I’ve been feeling all week and had to hold back. They go above and beyond. As long as I am in this area, they are the trusted professional I will call. ❤️❤️
