SMR exceeded our expectations with the work performed for us. We added a fireplace and opened a wall and their construction was exquisite. We truly appreciated their daily timelines, professionalism, and friendliness. We will continue to use SMR for all of our home remodeling needs and highly recommend the entire team for anyone requiring any building or renovation work.
Hired them to do a remodel of kitchen and bathrooms. The process was great at first but right before the project started there appeared to be some staffing changes and it was down hill from there. The workers/subcontractors had very little supervision. We ran into multiple issues from plumbing (hot/cold to washing machine installed backwards, turned off water to furnace and never mentioned (had to pay for an emergency furnace technician visit)), these are only the ones we did not realize during the project and had to complai... read more
Requested a quote for some updates to a small master bath and a basement apartment. After waiting four weeks, the quote was $160K which was absurd. I never got any response to my follow up email. This is a big company, so if you're not willing to spend $100K+, don't bother contacting them. They're not interested in your business.
Everyone associated with our 5 week project was so friendly, polite and helpful. Subcontractors L & J Construction were a pleasure to work with. Southern Maine Remodeling kept in constant contact, updating us on schedules and intent - very much appreciated!
I cannot say enough good things about the team at Southern Maine Remodeling. They have been my go to team for multiple projects over the year from, full kitchens, to porches and most recently a in-law suite and master bath. I would recommend their work to anyone.
