This place and the loving people there pretty much saved my life. I was at one of my lowest points in life and nothing was helping. There is a slice of heaven at the Southern Ketamine Clinic in Asheville. Guided by Val, the CRNA who administers the actual infusion. She is the epitome of a highly educated yet compassionate health care professional. She has found her purpose and I am so fortunate to be one of her patients. I was a patient here for nearly years and initially found treatment helpful. At one visit after a long break, I came in with fever and elevated vitals and shared my concerns. I was told it was okay to proceed, and I later had a very difficult reaction. The following day, I was hospitalized and treated for complications, and recovery took months. I highly recommend Southern Ketamine Clinics! Coming from another ketamine clinic, having Valerie, a highly skilled nurse anesthetist, was the missing link for me. I hadn’t been able to tolerate the higher doses I needed due to anxiety, but Valerie’s expertise, attentiveness, and genuinely caring nature made all the difference. I just had my first session at Southern Ketamine Clinics. From walking in to leaving, I felt cared for and safe. They worked with my limited schedule to get me in three times in one week. Valerie was gentle and very educated on the process (I’m coming from a previous clinic so I had expectations from my past experiences). The best part is that they have a therapy dog who sometimes ‘works’ by lying with you if you’re comfortable with that!
