My child could not be happier with her experience at Southern Heat. She has cheered elsewhere and was wanting to leave the sport before making the switch for this year, but she has had the best experience with her teams since her move. The coaches are wonderful, prioritizing safety and technique over speed of skill acquisition, which is very important to us. My daughter has been with Southern Heat for 3 years. I cannot thank the coaches enough for all their hard work and dedication. They pour their heart into each athlete. My daughter is very shy and self conscience by nature, and I have watched them turn her into a fierce competitive cheerleader. Not only has she continued to perfect her cheering skills, she has also mastered team bonding. She has learned what it takes to be a team, trusting her coaches and teammates to be the All-Star family that they are.
We had an unfortunate encounter with the facility owner (shoulder-length black hair), which left a negative impression. This was my daughter’s first time at Southern Heat & will be her last. My daughter was so excited to try out for cheer. However at the end of the tryouts, the owner approached me & proceeded to tell me that my daughter wouldn’t give the Coach a high five & that in her “culture “not giving high fives was considered as disrespectful that she’s been a teacher for so many years & It’s extremely disrespectful.I ... read more
from the coaches to the athletes, these are amazing people! my daughter has been in classes for a few months and she loves it! not only has she grown on her athletic side, but her social skills and just daily skills have grown as well! can’t wait to see her future with the SH family! 🧡💙
