Southern Development builds a quality product and their entire team (Emma in Sales, Anna in the Design Center, George supervising construction, and Axel for final touches) has been outstanding in their knowledge and willingness to help. Everyone is very responsive to questions and requests. I recommend this company 100%.
Southern Development Homes is outstanding! They build beautiful quality homes and it was so easy working with Andrea and others on my purchase. We don't usually write reviews, but Southern Development deserves a shout out. We moved into a new home they built for us in 2015. Recently we had a problem with the siding on one part of the house. I contacted Mark Collins to discuss how I could get it fixed...I really thought he would just point me to some siding contractors and it would be our responsibility to get it fixed...but no...Mark has their crew come out to our house that day to take a look. From the very start they keep you informed and help you through the process. I can not express enough the pleasure it has been working with the Southern Development Team especially Garnett Harris, Anna Posner, Virginia Hamrick and Jordan Robirds.

Thank you Southern Development for helping me find a comfortable home in Charlottesville! On a short time schedule, there was a quick move listing in the Belmont neighborhood that was perfect and affordable. Not only did my home come with the best neighbors but since I moved in last month, the SD team has checked in often to ensure everything with the home is up to par. I am happy to say that the quality exceeds that of any other home I walked through on my search!
I live in a neighborhood where Southern Development Homes are being built. The construction workers disregard the fire lane parking restrictions putting the entire community at risk. Other builders in our neighborhood keep their areas tidy and park legally. Southern has issues in both categories. If they can't follow parking regulations, I have to wonder about the quality of their construction.
