Front desk had a sign that read something like "due to the complexity of retina procedures you can expect to wait 2 to 3 hours to be seen by your physician....we respect your time...." We were there four hours total, totally and completely unacceptable. I do not care how good a doctor is, if they do not have the decency to be honest about respecting the patients time, then that doctor is worthless. WHY are most Appointment wait times longer than two hours? WHY does the doctor have poor bedside manner (rude and impatient) ? I recommend you find a patient centered eye treatment center - Southeastern Retina Associates has demonstrated poor treatment of patients and inconsistent communications after surgery. I was referred to Nicholas G. Anderson by Dr. Jackson Hawkins over an abundance of caution that I might have a horseshoe tear in my retina on my left eye. The appointment was made the following day of my appointment with Dr. H. Everything was routine up until the point Dr. A entered the exam room to look at my eye.
