The hospital needs to make some changes before things go even further downhill. Staff can not write on the forum just because of fear of getting fired. They need to raise their voice and tell the 25 VP's that what they are doing is not right. But the staff can not say a word because they have been known to fire people for speaking out. With all the staff they are losing, instead of giving everybody a raise, what the VP's will probably do is hire Agency staff and pay twice as much. Southeast Health should be embarrassed right now. Do they not understand that everyone in community is talking about how the business is going down and they are understaffed. They are building a "new pediatric ER" but they do not have enough money to give cost of living raises. Also how are they going to staff the new ER? With nurses with no experience because they will not give raises to the people that have been there for a few years. The nurses that have been there for a few years make as much as a graduate nurse? Southeast Admin. need to step up and admit they have been making the wrong choice for the hospital for the past few years. Reason why your census is down is because your nurses and workers are miserable and can't give good patient care when they are the lowest paid workers in the region. St. Francis encourage their workers and there is an incentive to work hard. There is no incentive to work hard at SE and no incentive to stay.
