Doctors are excellent, as long as you’re willing to wait for an appointment. For those urgent needs like when a child wakes up sick it’s almost impossible to get a same-day appointment and you end up going to a strange doctor for help somewhere else. If they did a better job of making themselves available to their current patients, they would be five stars. but because when you need them most, they aren’t available for you-I give them at three.
My 3 year old grandson had to wait 5 hours for his amoxicillin prescription to be filled for a double ear infection because the nurse didn’t enter the pharmacy correctly into the computer and the nurse line didn’t return multiple messages until 4 pm. What I find most disheartening is that the receptionist wouldn’t relay a message to the nursing staff. This is a dysfunctional and uncaring workplace.
