If I could give zero stars for a review I would, The unit one nurse Kathy is beyond rude and disrespectful to pt families.(I can only imagine how she treats pts.) I asked for information many times about my mother and got no answers.I asked to speak with the physician and was told "I'll send you to voicemail" two weeks no call back. This facility does not check elderly women or listen to them, upon admission for altered mental status. Neither, apparently do hospitals in MA. I was brought by ambulance complaining of a UTI and asking to be checked for one. My only symptom was delusions. Instead, they completely ignored mine and my family's requests. Instead, I was wrongly diagnosed as psychotic, paranoid schizophrenic, bipolar, manic, but worst of all, I was DENIED medical care. Instead, they locked me up for 29 days. My child, a minor, spent about 1 week in this hospital. As a parent, I was unhappy with the experience from my end of things. I knew how things in the hospital worked as far as rules and restrictions for the patients. However, had I not.. no one would have informed me. He was admitted on a Thursday and I spoke to a doctor briefly on the phone that day. Then zero contact by any staff in regard to his treatment plan or any details regarding his stay. Government Agencies provide good oversight and training for providers and patients.
The hospital was absolutely filthy. Liquids all over the walls and floors, trash everywhere, used bandages and nicotine gum stuck on places. The food was disgusting and wasn't real food. This place will switch your medication and not respect if you have bad side effects. They don't restrain only administer drugs into you and put you in a tiny padded room. A lot of the staff do not care or listen to you. I was assaulted by an older man and staff did absolutely nothing to prevent it. I would NOT go to this hospital. Terrible p... read more
