I took my wife today to the Tyrone minor injury department as her face had swollen on one side. Instead of taking up space in Craigavon A&E and holding up other people with more serious emergencies, I thought it would be better to take her to the minor injury department. The nurse we saw was more interested in the fact that we drove there instead of Craigavon, and would not treat her. I have been a patient of the rheumatology for like 8 years plus, they are amazing staff caring compassionate are able to speak to you like a human and if things are too complex or scary like the injections they have a great way to make you feel at ease, they are the reason I felt safe and relaxed going to the NHS, they are the reason I believe the NHS is something we should be looking after, every single appointment I felt heard cared for not looked at as stupid of silly, they have helped me more than any other department I ... read more
I recently visited this hospital when I took my son there for an appointment at the physiotherapy department. The hospital has modern facilities & equipment, contributing to a more comfortable & effective treatment experience. To top if off, the staff are so friendly & accommodating with great level of professionalism. PS; always plan to arrive a bit early for appointments, as you may need more time for your parking.
I would like to commend the staff one nurse in particular. Navy scrubs Jade? Not sure of name. I have never met a more compassionate young nurse. Had Endoscopy and colonoscopy 14th. I found holding her hand was more powerful than Entonox. I stopped using gas and air so I could feel her reassuring grip. I would like management to commend this lady personally. Thank you
I had to visit the Radiography Department today to get a bone density scan. I would just like to mention Claire and the other nurses who directed me to the Department together with Julie at Reception. They were so helpful and caring. Other staff members too whose names I've forgotten. Finally, Mark the Chief Radiographer was such a helpful and pleasant young man. Overall my first experience at The Radiography Department at The South Tyrone Hospital was a very pleasant one. Thank you one and all.
