To all the staff from ER admitting to all ER staff, ICU staff, 7 west. Doctors, Nurses, CNAs, Chaplains , Social Workers and Hospice for the excellent service, compassion care you provided my father in-law. We saw how you cared and tried everything possible, unfortunately he didn’t make it. Thank you so much from the Ibarra family.
Hospital is dirty and chaotic. Had to FIGHT for my medications or to shower. It took hours of fighting to be released. Food was bad. No one knew anything that was happening. Staff was great, but the overall vibe was confusion and chaos.
We have been to this hospital about 3 times already This is our go to place when we go to this hospital. The only thing I did not like when I went to the ER in Weslaco was a young lady a nurse that kept pressing me on my chest and that's for me to wake up but I couldn't talk I had my eyes open and I was seeing her but I could not answer. My wife had a fall and broke her tibia, fibula and ankle bone. It took 4 days in the hospital for the doctors to order the correct study to find these findings. My wife was insistent to go to the nearest hospital which was Mission hospital but the ambulance drivers insisted on taking her to mcallen medical. The ER physician was in a hurry to discharge my wife with excruciating pain. He never ordered the correct study to find the root cause of the problem until I insisted in him to order a CT.
