I too had an excellent experience last year. The nurses were not only professional but nice. too.
Our family had the most wonderful experience with South Shore VNA! My mother Lydia received the highest quality of compassionate care from occupational therapist Shannon Stone and her physical therapist. Shannon goes above and beyond in all areas- She was patient and overly competent and advocated on behalf of my mother to get her the help she needed. Absolutely horrible experience would not recommend to anyone. Extremely unprofessional and rude. My dad was in SS Hospital and was sent home with an order for a visiting nurse 5 days per week as he had several different issues including a Chole tube, high blood pressure, AFib and fluid all of which his drs wanted to keep a close eye on. During the initial visit we were advised that he was approved for 4 days per week. On the first Monday they were supposed to visit no one showed up. Nursing staff is excellent. I accidentally got this service again after a second hip replacement. So far, one PT staff has suggested Extra-strength Tylenol should handle my hip-replacement pain, less than a week after surgery. Two others spent quite a bit of time arguing with me about my doctor’s orders, and why they were wrong. Then one of them just disregarded them and asked me to exactly what the doctor doesn’t want me to do. I cant say enough good about the s.s. vna. Iam absolutely blown away when I look at some of the reviews. I think some of these folks were just having miserable days for whatever there being treated for. I've been fighting Multiple sclerosis for many yrs. Every time with the exception of once. I was fortunate enough to have s.s. vna come in and help me. I understand theres no miracle cures for m.s. but when I was having those dreaded flareups or the falls they were always there to help.
