I moved to south river marina 5 years ago. Skip Bennett and his team are outstanding. His service department is top of the line. Came in one day from fishing docked my boat his head outboard mechanic said, hey our port engine is running a little rich. I don’t do all the manufacturers maintenance but I do get my twins worked every few years. Water pumps, thermostats, lower units. My twins are older ox66 Yamaha 150s which run great for 2000s. I had a wet slip at SRM for years even though they have a bad reputation. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt but eventually I experienced things first-hand. After repeated bad experiences, I left and will never return unless the ownership changes. The South River Marina is a business and is run as business by ruthless business professionals. I have been a South River Marina customer for about 6 years. I asked the marina to perform some needed repairs on my boat last season and I couldn’t be happier with the quality of work and customer service. I like that Skip and his staff have always been available and happy to assist me and my family. The marina is clean and well maintained, and the amenities are outstanding.
