As a vertically challenged Northerner, I've visited many alteration shops. I don't require much, but I want it done right and I don't want to break the bank. South Park Tailors is a quaint, no frills shop, in Marietta Square. The business is on Winters Street, a one way side street, between Shop 'til You Drop and Taqueria Tsunami. My fiancé had an appointment this afternoon to get his suit tailored for our wedding. They said it could be ready by October 1st if we came today. When he showed up they were closed and nobody answered the phone.
My son’s tuxedo arrived late and it needed to be altered in a rush for his school vocal performance. I googled and found South Park Tailors and Ms Gerry agreed to make the adjustments within 24 hours for a very reasonable fee. I came to pick it up and not only did her work more than meet my expectation, she had also pressed the pants at no charged and cut open the pockets that were still sewn shut.
